So, here I am writing about weddings. Who would’ve thought, right? Not my field of expertise but the closer I get to 30, the more I think about having a serious relationship. It’s ironic because I’ve actually planned my life ever since I was a little boy.
When I turned 18, said I’d go to College and graduate around the age of 22 or 23. Then, I would be a Bachelor and have as much fun as possible until about 26, when I would search for the perfect woman to marry, stay together for about 3 or 4 years until I were 29 or 30 and get married.
Well, it seems thing never happen the way you planned them, but I always hope it’s for the best. I’m 26 now and still single, for some reason good women are really hard to find, scarce if you will. Most of them are taken or swinging for the other team.
As the years go by, I notice our groups get smaller, less and less people come out to hang. People start getting married and settling down to have a family, so it becomes really hard for them to hang around with friends like they used. Not to mention having children puts a definite stop to your social life, unless your friends are all having babies.
Sometimes I get frustrated with not having a girlfriend, because honestly being truly in love is the greatest feeling in the world, and the worst. It takes time to be in love and trust someone with your deepest darkest secrets. This is something that really scares me at times, and makes it hard to just trust a random lady. These experiences, as I mentioned earlier are the most beautiful and darkest an individual can go through. Recovery from a lifelong relationship can take a toll on anyone’s feelings, Love can be very harsh and even drive someone to insanity.
What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger. This is the best quote for this experience, and it should be changed to ‘smarter’. I’ve learned to understand people and their intentions by feeling the way they do. I’ve overcome my past relationship and realized there’s light at the end of every tunnel. Patience is a virtue, so now I just kick back and relax, maybe go out with my friends to see what the night may bring, maybe I’ll get lucky.
I worry sometimes because I’m alone, so when that happens I just call a friend, get a beer with my koozie, and just chat about life in general. It really does help relieve the frustration!

It’s funny seeing myself blog about getting married when I don’t even have a serious girlfriend, but yet here I am! I’m 26 years old and don’t even want to think about Marriage, but as time flies by it’s hard not imagine it happening in the near future. At this point in time, I’d like to begin looking for a serious girlfriend, but it’s hard to find a good woman which you truly like and not just because it’s convenient.
I’ve only had one serious relationship in the past, which lasted nearly four years, and I have to say it’s the most beautiful and scariest experience I’ve ever been through. Love is a serious matter, which can drive people beyond insanity through feeling and passion. I remember being very confident and outgoing before it happened. Now, I see myself analyzing and being cautious all the time around women.
As I get older parties and gatherings seem less frequent and the people I used to hang out with all the time rarely have time for anything these days. Sometimes it’s scary to believe chances become scarce and opportunities pass you by. At my age, I’m looking for a lady whom I can have a serious conversation and quiet time. A girl who appreciates the presence of a man without saying a word.
It takes a while to love and also to learn to love after passion fades. Couples need to understand each other completely and know each others faults and fallacies, accept them and carry on together. I’ve been single for a while now and I won’t deny I love being by myself at times, but after a while it gets old and I wish I had someone to relax with and tell jokes to, please, mostly to hold and comfort.
Life alone becomes a routine and boring at times because there’s no spontaneity. On weekends I’ll grab a beer, slip on a koozie for it, and surf through the tv channels until I find something relatively interesting. Thank God for who invented Football, that man is a genius without a doubt. Football is definitely the greatest distraction for us bachelors.
People say Patience is a Virtue, and they also say opportunities come and go. If you go looking for it, you won’t find it. Then, when you’re not looking for it, everyone’s interested. So which one is it? Sometimes I get frustrated and at times I feel like I still have plenty time. Truth is, you have to go out there and leave all your doubts at home, so when you get a chance you go and make the best of it, even if it means immediate rejection. It gets better with time.
